How we work

Four phases. No surprises.

Every engagement runs on the same rhythm. Fixed milestones, fixed fees, weekly checkpoints — so you always know where things stand.

PHASE 01 · WEEK 0

Free intro call

30 minutes. No prep needed. We talk about what you're trying to do and figure out if we're a good fit. If we are, we send a one-page brief for you to sign off on.

  • One of the partners is on the call — not a salesperson
  • Honest feedback on scope and budget
  • No follow-up pressure

PHASE 02 · WEEK 1 – 2

Discovery (paid)

A two-week sprint where we figure out what we're building. Fixed-fee. You own the deliverable whether you keep working with us or not.

  • 4 – 6 stakeholder interviews
  • Competitive and content audit
  • Brief, with sign-off, before any design work
  • Concrete scope and timeline for the build phase

PHASE 03 · WEEK 3 – 10

Build phase

The actual work. Length depends on scope — typically 8 weeks for a marketing site, 12 weeks for a product redesign.

  • Weekly checkpoint (Mondays, 30 min)
  • Single shared Slack channel — no mystery hours
  • Real-time access to our Figma + GitHub
  • Two rounds of revisions per deliverable, scoped upfront

PHASE 04 · LAUNCH + 30

Launch & hand-off

We launch with you, not for you. After go-live we stay on for 30 days to fix anything that surfaces, then transition to optional retainer or close out.

  • Pre-launch checklist (we run through it together)
  • Launch-day support (a person on Slack)
  • 30 days of post-launch bug fixes included
  • Retainer available from $4,000/month

What we promise

Fixed-fee, always

No hourly billing surprises. Once we agree on scope, we agree on price.

Senior-led

The partner you meet is the person doing the work. No bait-and-switch.

No NDA needed for the brief

We don't ask you to sign anything before the intro call. Trust is mutual.

We say no

If we're not the right fit — wrong scope, wrong timing, wrong budget — we say so and refer you elsewhere.

FAQ

Process questions

What if we want to change scope mid-project?
It happens. Small changes (a section, a page, a minor refactor) are usually absorbed. Big ones get a written change order — new scope, new timeline, new fee.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes — once we move past the intro call. Standard mutual NDA. We don't sign anything before the first conversation, though.
Who owns the work?
You do, on payment. We retain the right to show finished work in our portfolio unless you explicitly opt out (rare, but happens).
Can you start immediately?
Discovery sprints usually start within 2 weeks. Build phases are scheduled around our roster — typically 4 – 8 weeks ahead. Tell us your real deadline and we'll be honest about fit.
